Our scouting teams have returned from the target metropolis. Lucius (laud his unmatched might!) was wise to transfer leaders between squads to better foster the exchange of tactical knowledge. Unit leaders have now been restored to their squads in preperation for offensive operations.
Note to the quartermaster: Begin searching for a new Noviciate Sorcerer to lead the Tzeench contingent. The Khorne squad reports that the Sorcerer assigned to their unit was killed by enemy chainaxes. This unfortunate turn of events means that our Rubric Marines will be unavailable for the assault on the city.
The most detailed reconnaissance came from the Nurgle squad led by the Slaaneshi Aspirant, Quintius. Having entered the city for recon, Quintius decided to make it an "in force" operation. Many of the more barbaric native forces (ref: Kroot) were on patrol in the northern quadrant. These forces were purged from the area with acceptable losses. An extensive sewer system was discovered below the city streets. Detailed schematics of the tunnels may prove useful in the fight to come. Evacuation of the stronghold is now complete and our forces are moving to capture the city proper.
